Chuao Chocolatier Firecracker

I started this blog so I could try all these different flavour combinations, and this one peaked my curiousity. 60% dark chocolate, with chipolte, sea salt and popping candy! That is a hell of a combination there. Now, the best way I can explain this is....imagine a firecracker going off....take that sound and imagine that it has a taste. Thats it.I bit into this and heard a loud pop thanks to the popping candy. After that, a wave of little pops and snaps, and a hit of the chipolte. A very smooth creamy texture, even with the popping candy and sea salt. The only downside, not a very pronounced sea salt flavour, and too much chipolte. It was also very difficult to pick out what was sea salt, and what was popping candy. If you're looking for a fun experience in chocolate form, this is it.

Lindt Passion Caramel & Sea Salt

Now usually I love flavors that most people don't. Sweet and salty is one of my favorite combinations. So with that said, I was very excited to try this bar. I've never been disappointed with a caramel and sea salt bar before, but this one left a bitter taste in my mouth...literally. I'm not quite sure what it was, but my first bite was very bitter. Granted it was dark chocolate...but again, I love dark chocolate. The sea salt wasn't very pronounced either. Most of what I got from this bar, was a creamy caramel flavour. Overall, not impressed. This is the first one I wouldn't recommend, hopefully it'll be the onlyone for a while.

Lindt Passion Orange & Pistachio

My fiance says I don't like fruit, but that isn't completely true. I like fake fruit...or candied fruit....or chocolate covered candied fruit. This bar includes the latter, and that isn't all...there are pistachios in here. As you can see with the first picture, Lindt gives you a very clear glimpse at the bar inside the wrapper. There is no lack of pistachio or oranges pieces in this bar, and they're proud of it! There have been too many times where I can't taste the ingredient they added to make it unique. The first bite I took out of this gave me a rush of orange. The pistachio is hidden in there, but you can taste it once the orange flavour subsides. The chocolate is creamy, and the pistachio adds a nice crunch to it all. I had a few bites out of it last evening, and then I left it so I would have a treat today. I deffinately noticed a change in flavour after that. The orange wasn't as intense, and the pistachio was more pronounced. Over all, a very enjoyable bar that has two ingredients that blend well together. I'm really excited to try another bar in Lindt's Passion line.
